HSE - Health, Safety & Environment

Ecosys' commitment to occupational safety, environmental protection and people’s health.

Introduction

Workplace safety is a fundamental value at Ecosys. Every employee, supplier and partner is responsible for their own safety and that of their colleagues. The rules set out here follow current regulations (D.Lgs. 81/08, ISO 45001) and the best practices in the environmental and industrial sector.

Key HSE rules

  1. 1. Compliance with rules and procedures: Always follow laws, company procedures and Operational Safety Plans (POS). The instructions of the Safety Coordinator are binding.
  2. 2. Training and qualifications: Do not carry out work without specific training and valid qualifications (operating machinery, forklifts, MEWPs, work at height, confined spaces, hazardous substances).
  3. 3. Personal protective equipment (PPE): Helmets, gloves, safety shoes, goggles and masks must always be worn in accordance with procedures. Removing or modifying them is prohibited.
  4. 4. Checking equipment and vehicles: Before using tools, machinery or vehicles, always check their integrity, operation and safety guards. Report any faults or anomalies immediately.
  5. 5. Handling waste and hazardous materials: Follow SDS, ADR and internal procedures for handling, transport and storage. Any violation entails serious risks for people and the environment.
  6. 6. Risk prevention and control: Always apply the measures defined in the Risk Assessment: isolating areas, work permits, lock-out/tag-out, containment devices and environmental monitoring.
  7. 7. Order and cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and tidy: walkways clear, materials stored correctly, waste collected and spills managed immediately.
  8. 8. Prohibition of tampering: Do not remove safety guards, sensors or safety interlocks. Only authorised personnel may work on devices and systems.
  9. 9. Immediate reporting: Report any hazard, near miss or malfunction to the supervisor and record it according to company procedures.
