Hydro-scarification
Hydro-scarification is a treatment that uses a high-pressure water jet combined with abrasives, such as sand or inert materials to remove unwanted layers, rust, paints, limescale or incrustations from a wide variety of surfaces. It is an advanced and highly efficient cleaning process that can be adjusted according to the specific needs of the surface to be treated. This treatment ensures deep and uniform cleaning, preparing the surface for subsequent treatments such as painting or the application of protective coatings.
Some of the most common contexts in which hydro-scarification is applied include: removal of paints and coatings, cleaning of industrial surfaces, restoration of stone or concrete surfaces, and work on bridges, viaducts, stations, construction sites and large infrastructures. On reinforced concrete structures it is performed to remove all deteriorated parts reaching the reinforcement steel with the aim of performing a correct restoration after hydro-scarification.
